This is my seventh year as part of the Front Range Open Studios Tour. That’s right! Lucky Number 7. I take great pride knowing that I have been with this tour since its inception and my work allows me to represent the local artist community.
All of the artists on this tour open their studio spaces to the public in this once a year event. My focus will be demonstrating the time honored tradition of Chasing and Repousse. I will also have a video running of me completing a piece, in addition to the demos I will present in my studio. Last year many who visited my studio found this not only educational, but fascinating.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn about art and witness what goes into each artist’s process. Please join us.
Date ~~ Sunday, August 27, 2017
Time ~~ 1:00 PM – 3:00 PMLocation: Wild Hair Alpacas, 5815 Mountain Shadow View, Colorado Springs, CO 80908
Barb Ziek and I will be collaborating again on this fun fashion show in the alpaca barn. Last year the young alpaca boys watched with great interest when certain girls strutted their stuff alongside the model wearing a garment made with their fiber.
Great care is taken in selecting the pairing of my art jewelry with one of Barb’s fiber art wear.
Newborn alpacas can be seen. It’s wonderful to hear the tranquil trilling of the alpacas.
Join us for this fun, whimsical experience.

A new show at Commonwheel featuring Mandalas. Sanskrit for “circle” the term “mandala” can be a geometric figure representing the universe in Hindu and Buddhist symbolism or as a symbol in a dream, representing the dreamer’s search for completeness and self-unity. In common use, “mandala” has become a generic term for any diagram, chart, or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos, metaphysically or symbolically.
