There is no greater satisfaction than working with my hands. I am a glass and metal artist living in the Black Forest area of Colorado with my photographer husband, Daniel.  My work encompasses fused glass, art jewelry, and stained glass utilizing copper foil and lead. 

Primarily self-taught, I began my study of glass under the tutelage of fellow Colorado glass artist, Kate Loomiller.  I have also studied under nationally known glass artists, Kent Lauer and Patty Gray.  My metalworking teacher and mentor is Lexi Erickson, who has taught college level art jewelry classes and is a frequent contributor to Lapidary Journal.

I a member of the Glass Art Society and Colorado Metalsmithing Association.   I have been fortunate to received a number awards at juried shows.  My work has been featured in group exhibitions, such as Glass at the Gardens in Denver, Colorado, Palmer Lake Fine Art Show in Palmer Lake, Colorado, and The Art Center of Estes Park’s Lines into Shapes 2008 and 2009.  

My belief is that being creative is a way of life for me.  My work is inspired by nature, realized in glass and metal.

These elements are the driving forces in my work.

As an only child, one of my favorite pastimes on a warm summer day was lying in a soft blanket of grass, looking up at the slow moving clouds as they drifted across the sky. I searched for shapes in those big fluffy clouds, finding the most unusual collection of things. Admit it, we all did that, right?

Today, my imagination still finds those shapes, only now I find them in glass. My work is inspired by nature, realized in glass and metal.
